A Contemporary Mexican Restaurant is hiring a passionate and dependable Cook to join our Back of House team. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation.
- Handle food preparation, including chopping, slicing, grilling, sautéing, frying, and other cooking techniques as required.
- Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and in a timely manner.
- Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain appropriate food temperatures and properly store ingredients.
- Communicate effectively with chefs, kitchen staff, servers, and management during service.
- Work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Assist with receiving, organizing, rotating, and storing food products and supplies.
- Minimize food waste by following proper portioning and preparation procedures.
- Keep kitchen equipment, cooking surfaces, and work areas clean and sanitized.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen duties as needed.
What You Bring / Lo Que Tú Aportas
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a Cook required
- Experience in a full-service or high-volume restaurant environment is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently while maintaining food quality and presentation.
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization.
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure during busy service periods.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in a restaurant kitchen.
- Food Handler Certification preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
